Chris (He/him) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Ashland University.

Chris prefers a client centered approach for counseling; he believes you are the expert on you, and he is there to help you get to your goals. His primary therapeutic modalities include CBT and EMDR. Chris has studied other modalities as well and believes that the best one is the one that helps you to achieve your goals.

Chris works with clients aged 18 and over. He treats a variety of presenting problems, but he has worked extensively with burnout, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and addiction.

Chris identifies as a Christian. He works to create a safe environment for people to determine what they believe for themselves. Chris also has a passion for spiritual trauma and abuse recovery. He believes in creating a place to heal the hurt that people have endured through their relationship with religion and spirituality.

In his free time, you’ll find Chris playing video games, reading books, and spending time with family and friends.

What does trauma recovery mean to you?

When we experience trauma, our relationship to the world changes on a fundamental level.  Our "normal" before trauma is different than our "normal" after trauma.  To me, trauma therapy means finding peace and hope in the new "normal."
