Frequently asked questions.
Q: I’m tired of traditional talk therapy and CBT. Is this something different?
A: Yes. If standard approaches haven’t worked for you or just don’t fit how your brain or body processes the world — we offer therapy that’s creative, holistic, and tailored to you. No cookie-cutter methods, and no pressure to do homework that doesn’t help.
Q: I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help. Why would this be different?
A: We hear this a lot. Many of our clients come to us after feeling unseen or unsupported elsewhere. Our therapists are highly trained in trauma-sensitive, body-aware, and individualized approaches and many have lived experience navigating mental health, addiction, and recovery themselves.
Q: What if other therapists have told me: I don’t know how to help you?
A: You’re not alone and we want you to know that statement says more about the limits of others, not about you. We specialize in working with folks who’ve fallen through the cracks, been dismissed, or labeled “too complex.” You are not too much for us.
Q: I’ve been living with trauma for a long time and feel like I’m on the edge of collapse. Can you help?
A: Yes. When trauma builds over time, it can leave the mind and body in a constant state of shutdown or overwhelm. Our work supports nervous system regulation, stabilization, and healing that meets you where you are without pushing you past your limits.
Q: I’m nervous about trying therapy again. What if I get hurt or disappointed?
A: That fear makes sense. Many people worry that trusting one more therapist will lead to more disconnection or letdown. We move at your pace, with full transparency, and we build trust slowly in a way that feels safe for your system.
Q: What if therapy does start to work… and I resist it?
A: It’s common to feel skeptical when things finally begin to shift. That “waiting for the other shoe to drop” feeling is part of trauma, too and we’ll be right here with you as those protective parts start to soften and trust builds.
We get it. We got you. And we can help.
