FAQs
-
Finding the right therapist is a personal process, and it’s okay to have questions. All of our clinicians are trauma-informed, but they differ in style, training, and focus.
You might think about:What you want to work on (e.g., trauma, anxiety, relationships)
If shared identity or cultural background matters to you
What approaches or modalities you're drawn to (like EMDR, somatic therapy, or parts work)
Just tell us a little about what you’re looking for, and we’ll help match you with a few therapists who could be a good fit.
-
Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist and share what brings you in. You’ll talk about your goals, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll go at your pace.
-
Many people start with weekly sessions, but it depends on your needs and goals. Some come more often during stressful times, while others space sessions out right from the start. Your therapist will work with you to find a rhythm that feels right.
